BENTONG: The people can be assured that the pledges highlighted in the Barisan Nasional manifesto will be fulfilled, says MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

He said that Barisan leaders took the coalition's manifesto seriously.

“The Barisan manifesto contains promises that can and will be carried out, unlike the Pakatan Rakyat one which contains popular but empty promises. Theirs is a fantasy manifesto because Pakatan wants to give lots of free things like free education and abolish tolls.

“The Opposition manifesto looks attractive, but the people know that such lofty promises will lead to bankruptcy. The country will suffer as a result,” he said after launching the Bentong Tourism and Information Map here yesterday.

Liow said he was confident that people will give their trust to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to continue the Prime Minister's transformation programmes for the country.

“Our manifesto is a continuation of the Barisan's plans to carry out the transformation agenda,” he said.

On the tourism map, Liow, who is Bentong MP, said it contains points of interest such as restaurants, hotels and historical sites.
